  • Velvet : the identification cocktail of the The Key project. It is an extreme twist of a negroni. Tequila base, blend of vermouth and bitters. infusions of dried caramel and black tea in leaves at different times, ages in cask and then finish in vat. He is not ready before having rested at least a month in all. It is an amazing cocktail. On the nose it tells you a story of sweetness, which also continues in the mouth and then rotates towards a tannic and persistent note without being invasive.
  • Manhattan : cocktail born at the beginning of the 19th century, it is the sweetest and most welcoming of the The Key range. The strong character is given to it by the base of the Rye Wiskey and to complete a blend of sweet vermouth and an artisanal Abruzzo marasca liqueur. Rest a month in a vat.
  • Old Fashioned : as every connoisseur knows, this cocktail is composed of a sugary part, an alcoholic one and the dilution of the water. In our Old Fashioned we have chosen not to put dilution or sugar. We therefore decided to use two types of artisan gentians: a distinctly sweet one and a very bitter one that supported the thickness of the whiskey. The softness of the cocktail is obtained not from water, but from our best ally: time with its three months of aging.
  • Gin Martini : gin, vermouth and lemon essential oils. It rests in the vat for three months. The cocktail par excellence, ladies among gentlemen. In our version, oxidation gives it a strong but soft character. The delicate aromas of lemon on the nose soften its alcoholic character.
Distillates were often made in home tanks or in makeshift places. They were generally undrinkable. And it is here that the figure of the barman enters: he was the one who made the drinkable drinkable using different ingredients, most important of all: dilution in water. And this is where another fundamental difference between the canonical and The Key cocktails is hidden. None of our cocktails are diluted in water.
The velvet, the softness of our blends depends, yes, on the quality raw materials, but also on our most important ally: time.
