Nysa Wines was founded in 2006 in Paris with 50 stores. Building on the success in Paris the first London store was opened in November 2018 by three London based wine specialists with the intention of bringing interesting, delicious and ready to drink wines from around the world to London. Nysa sells a carefully selected, diverse and characterful bottles crafted by smaller, family run, passionate winemakers from all over the world. Including a large selection of organic, biodynamic and vegetarian/vegan wines. Here is just a small selection of wines from their Chelsea boutique.

Chateau Moulin de la Rose, Saint Julien, 2014

Red


Named after a former windmill and a knight named Chevalier Larose, this Saint Julien is a Cabernet Sauvignon (65%), Merlot (35%) blend. A generous, structured red that has wonderful smoothness and finesse. Dark fruits abound, well-balanced and extremely charming.

Domaine Jaeger-Defaix, Rully Premier Cru, Clos du Chapitre, 2017

A delicious single-vineyard Rully from the famous Jaeger-Defaix family. The ‘Clos du Chapitre’ is a walled vineyard situated directly behind the winery and is regarded as the finest 1er Cru site in Rully. Packed with bright cherry notes and a subtle new oak spice.

A voluptuous blend of Carignan, Grenache, Mourvédre and Syrah. This is all about the purity of fruit and is an intense, deep wine overflowing with black fruits, orange peel and sweet spices.

La Giaretta, Amarone Della Valpolicella, 2016

Created by husband/wife duo, Francesca and Francesco, this is an Amarone with a touch of elegance. Produced from grapes that have been partially dried on straw racks to create an extremely intense and complex wine. Deep, rich and full of dried fruit notes, this is a powerful and alluring Amarone.

La Giaretta, Ripasso Classico Superiore Doc, 2016

Created by husband/wife duo, Francesca and Francesco, this Ripasso is made by passing the freshly pressed must over the dried grape skins previously used for the estate’s Amarone. A perfect balance, with the intensity of an Amarone but without the heaviness and high level of alcohol.

Tenuta di Gracciano Della Seta, Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, 2016

One of the oldest wineries in Montepulciano and one of the most respected. This is a serious Sangiovese (Prugnolo Gentile) with remarkable elegance and sophistication. Medium bodied with great acidity and structure to carry the wonderful cherry/red fruits.
